Dr. Berkoff graduated from The State University of New York at Albany and The National College of Chiropractic in Chicago where he was awarded the college’s Outstanding Graduate Award. He has bachelors degrees in English, History, and Human Biology, and participated in a three year residency program in Neurology. His early years in practice were spent at the Neurologic Centre for Headache and Pain, in La Jolla, where he practiced alongside renowned neurologist Dr. David Hubbard. Dr. Berkoff participated in the formation of the Sharp Pain Program and helped conduct research on chronic pain with Dr. Hubbard and Dr. Richard Gevirtz at California School of Professional Psychology (now Alliant University). He has authored scientific papers published in major peer-reviewed medical journals and is the co-author of a textbook on the diagnosis and treatment of musculo-skeletal pain used in medical and chiropractic schools across the country. He is a member of the Hubbard Foundation Science Board and on the Board of Directors for EngAGE. Dr. Berkoff resides in La Jolla, with his wife Tricia, an interior designer and the general manager of the practice, and their two cats, Mia and Tom. Going green! Our office is making effort to protect our environment. We converted to Electronic Health Records which has dramatically reduced unnecessary paper waste. We launder our patient gowns and towels instead of using disposable ones. And our office recycles. Giving As animal lovers, we contribute to and support the efforts of ASPCA, HFA, and the San Diego Humane Society. We also support Oxfam and its efforts. |
